Palo Alto Networks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, FP&A to join our team and lead financial planning and analysis for our Network Security Division (NetSec). This is a critical role for an individual who thrives on strong analytical challenges, possesses an insatiable curiosity for understanding business drivers, and demonstrates a true ownership mindset in a high-growth environment. This is currently an individual contributor role with future potential for expansion into team management. Your Impact Financial Modeling & Analytics: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting for the NetSec Division. This includes detailed analysis of Pipeline, Bookings, ARR, Churn and COGS. Leverage strong analytical skills to dissect large and complex datasets, providing actionable insights to drive business performance.
Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted financial advisor, strategic partner and provide thought leadership. Collaborate closely with NetSec Finance Leadership and Corporate Finance Leadership to drive Monthly and Quarterly rhythms with business reviews and accounting close. Understand business initiatives, evaluate financial implications, and provide recommendations that align with company objectives.
Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Identify key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Present clear and concise financial reports and presentations to executive leadership.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the long-range strategic planning process, translating business strategies into financial targets and roadmaps and performing competitive benchmarking.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy. Experience with AI use cases in finance is a strong plus.
Growth and Ownership: Take full ownership of the NetSec Division financial health, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and driving initiatives to optimize financial outcomes. Demonstrate a growth mindset by continuously seeking to learn about the evolving Security market and its impact on financial performance.
Your Experience Bachelor degree in Engineering/Economics/Business/Finance or related field 10+ years of FP&A experience, ideally supporting product organizations in high-tech; MBA preferred.
Exceptional business partnering and influencing skills, linking big-picture strategy to detailed execution.
Proven expertise in complex data analysis, insight extraction, and clear data presentation.
Curious about business operations, product roadmaps, and cybersecurity market dynamics, with a strong growth mindset.
Advanced financial modeling skills and experience with BI tools (SQL strongly preferred).
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strong team player.
Independent, enthusiastic about solving unstructured questions, and adapts to rapid changes in high-growth environments.
