Metal Fab Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Location: Houston, Texas Reports to: Production Supervisor Collaborates with: Welding, Fabrication, Shipping Primary Responsibility: A Fabricator is responsible for the production of silencer components to internal and customer requirements. Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6am- 3pm What's in it for You: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Annual Bonus Program $350 Annual Wellness Credit Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401k with match up to 5% Life insurance Disability insurance 5 days of paid sick leave annually 15 days PTO annually (prorated based on start date) What You'll Do: Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals. Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs. To meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance. Interpretation of blueprints and written part requirements. Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed. Read parts list and determine if all parts are present. Interpret measurements and verify specifications. Cut, shape metals to be prepped for the welders. Other duties as assigned. What Qualifies You: High School Diploma. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift.
