Campus Planning & Development Sr. Project Manager The Senior Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day management, quality assurance, and status reporting of assigned capital and special projects. This includes attending meetings and coordinating the taking of minutes, as well as reviewing and maintaining submittal records, warranty documents, and drawings for each project. Working closely with architects, engineers, project coordinators, and stakeholders, he manages and disseminates information, including preliminary estimates, formal budgets, project schedules, and progress reports. He assures accurate and complete contractual agreements, cost adjustments, change orders, and pay requests for and from contractors and consultants. He coordinates jobsite visits, ensures safety compliance, and enforces schedule adherence. Project Management & Status Reporting
Ensure adherence to owner decisions, needs, and expectations by consultants, contractors, and department staff. Attend planning meetings, scheduling meetings, and progress meetings, then prepare status reports for respective stakeholders. Monitoring & Q/C
Coordinate site visits for quality control purposes by way of field assignments or in person observations; comparing drawings, industry standards, and code requirements to actual project conditions, as well as comparing progress made to schedules and forecasts. Estimating & Budgeting
Collect all needed data to make accurate financial estimations for projects. Prepare monetary budgets and timelines for each planned or pending project. Prepare project charters for all stakeholders. Facility Life & Condition Assessing
Investigate, periodically or upon request, the overall structural and aesthetic condition of ministry facilities and equipment. Assess for sustainability, efficiency, and life expectancy. Forecast and report on possible needs to renovate, re-purpose, or even remove buildings or systems. FLSA Status - Professional (Exempt) Education: Required Education: College Degree - Business Preferred Education: MBA Work Experience: Required Experience: 4+ years in construction management Preferred Experience: 7+ years in capital project management Physical Requirements and Skills: Ability to lift 50+ pounds, Accounting, Business Management, Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time, Communication, Construction Contract Law, Construction Drawings, Construction Materials, Financial Data Reporting, Interpersonal Relationships, Ladders, Microsoft Applications, Operating Office Equipment, Project Management, Teamwork, Working Independently
