Established in 2021, we are a leader in the development and commercialization of brain-computer interfaces (BCI).As a Precision employee, you will collaborate with experts across diverse fields, including neurosurgery, mechanical engineering, machine learning, and microfabrication, to push the boundaries of what is possible. You will join a well-capitalized and fast-moving company. In the three years since Precision's founding, we have built and validated a product and have begun human trials in partnership with some of the country's leading neurosurgery programs. You will work toward a deeply meaningful goal: restoring function to people living with devastating neurological conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS. Our platform will enable these individuals to regain independence, communicate with loved ones, and return to work.We are seeking a Test Technician to execute electrochemical testing for key components of our implantable devices.In this role, you will play a key part in testing, characterization, and quality checks of our BCI technologies, leveraging multidisciplinary testing expertise to measure fundamental properties of components and interfaces in our highly complex system.This position will be based in our Santa Clara office. We are unable to consider remote workers or people not currently based in the United States with working rights.Key ResponsibilitiesOperates and maintains electrical, mechanical, and electrochemical test equipment and processes for the thin film, packaging, and electronic sub-assembly components of Precision's product. Works with Precision's Quality and other engineering teams to maintain documentation associated with the product development cycle, including risk management and Verification and Validation.Completes upkeep and calibration of laboratory instruments and orders lab supplies.Communicates project updates on progress, risks, options, barriers, and recommendations to other members of the team.Collaborates with the team to publish and present our work.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseBachelor's degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related discipline. 3+ years' experience working in similar roles.Experience with maintaining and testing of electrochemical systems and devices, including the use of equipment such as potentiostats, sourcemeters, and multichannel test equipment.Experienced with basic electrical, mechanical testing, and microscopy systems.Diverse workforces create the best culture, company, and products.
