Quick overview: Culture: Tight-knit group, very family-feel Size: $50M in revenue want to continue at that number through repeat clients Headcount: about 20 person company Field Team Size: about 7 people in the field Construction Style: design/build (in-house architects) and do carpentry and concrete (can self-perform) Project Size: generally $1-10M Project Variety: corporate offices, warehouses and manufacturing facilities, banks, municipal buildings, historical buildings, special projects, light commercial, and smaller healthcare Workflow: no micromanagement superintendents run their sites Oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Implement and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues, address construction-related challenges, and ensure compliance with project requirements. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to facilitate effective project coordination, communication, and timely decision-making. Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, optimizing productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, change orders, and as-built drawings. Proactively identify and resolve construction-related conflicts, anticipating potential issues and implementing effective solutions to maintain project progress. Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes. Promote and enforce a culture of safety and adherence to safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of all on-site personnel. Proven track record of five years as a successful Construction Superintendent, with experience in managing complex commercial construction projects. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices. Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and guide project teams towards achieving project goals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and exceeding client expectations. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
