Electronic Resources Coordinator

The Barry University Library seeks a collaborative, dynamic librarian to fill the position of Electronic Resources Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Library Services, the Electronic Resources Coordinator focuses on the technical aspects of managing electronic resources and systems, including databases, electronic books, electronic serials and periodicals, electronic tools (e-Tools), membership electronic resources, and system. Essential functions include, but not limited to: Managing electronic resources through the establishment of product trials, access management, subscription renewal, and ongoing vendor relations. Primary contact with vendors electronic resources, including databases and e-books, with vendors. Negotiates and manages licenses for electronic resources, ensuring access for users. Works to make electronic resources discoverable through the library's catalog and other interfaces. Invoicing and Ordering Prepares purchase orders for renewals. Maintains and updates vendor contact information in the library services platform. Creates purchase orders and invoices. Responsible for any procurement related items such as contracts (SPC's) for annual subscriptions/memberships, requisitions to have a purchase order created, or SIR (supplier invoice requests) for one-time registrations to conferences. Process and submit invoices, manage and reconcile Pcard. Technical Management Focuses on the technical aspects of electronic resources, such as managing databases, authentication systems, and link resolvers. Creates, edits, and manages metadata for electronic resources to ensure proper indexing and discoverability. Data Analysis Collecting and reporting daily, monthly, quarterly and annual statistics on personal productivity and other metrics assigned by Director of Library Services. Evaluate the usage and effectiveness of electronic resources and make recommendations for improvements. Analyzes usage data for electronic resources to identify trends and inform decision-making. Participates in Data Analysis and reporting of statistics activities. Providing information, training, and support to inform colleagues and the campus of new features and interface changes related to e-resource discovery. Responsibilities of the position evolve as the library environment continues to change. Troubleshooting Troubleshoots technical issues related to electronic resources access and functionality in a timely manner. Note: This position's responsibilities and duties are required to be performed in-person at the Main Campus at Barry University Library. Note: Schedule: Monday

Friday, 8:30 a.m.

4:30 p.m. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Masters's degree preferred. Higher education experience required with a preference for experience working with electronic resources in an academic research library setting. Knowledge of current models, practices, and tools used by academic libraries for the acquisition and management of e-resources. Familiarity with the EBSCO suites of tools, including FOLIO. Proven ability to utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, faculty, students, and staff. 3-5 years previous experience. Capacity to thrive in an ambiguous, future-oriented modern libraries-building environment and to respond effectively to changing needs and priorities. Ability to build and sustain effective interpersonal relationships with library staff, faculty and students and administrators.
