Situated on the southern edge of the Lehigh Valley and easily accessible from northern Philadelphia suburbs and the surrounding areas, the Quakertown facility is our North American hub for the design and manufacturing of leading dental imaging devices and software. The facility has a growing, energetic, and diverse mix of professionals spanning engineering, operations, regulatory, and quality backgrounds that work collaboratively in the fast-paced medical device field. A friendly and open atmosphere helps to foster strong personal and professional relationships across the organization. About the position: Will work in a rotation of packers and shippers as scheduled to ensure all packing and shipping needs for the day are met. Packages, and prepares spare parts and dental equipment for shipping using standardized methods. Prepares documentation and coordinates logistics for product shipments and returns. Routes outgoing shipments through various truckers and freight forwarders. Assembles shipping documentation for proof of shipment, including providing tracking or shipping history information to internal and external customers on request. Posts orders and shipping information daily using computer system, SAP. Work with others in manufacturing department to assure transactional accuracy. Provides freight rates to customer service department. Prepare boxes and skids with appropriate labels and documentation for shipments as required. Review open customer orders on to efficiently meet the customer shipping schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates. Daily review of backlog (current & past due) and forcing orders as needed for shipment. Responsible for daily running z-report and providing feedback to the team for any item not shipping where there was stock available. Assist with updating SAP with new shipment date if an order is not shipping. When shipping sensor warranty replacements, providing feedback twice a day to Customer Service if something isn't shipping so that communication can be provided to the customer. Safe transport goods both intercompany and off site in company truck. End of day filing. Provide first level troubleshooting for Packer-Shipper II related to shipping. Other duties as assigned. Job requirements: Licensed driver
must have a driver's license in good standing. Punctual
must be able to complete work in a timely manner, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines. Cooperative
must be able to work closely with others, serving internal and external client base. Communication
must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms in an extremely professional manner. Attention to detail
must be able to follow written and visual instructions to ensure that received parts meet quality standards. Qualifications: Must be willing and able to be trained and certified to drive fork lift. Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed with limited notice. Basic computer skills - data entry and Microsoft office. Education and/or experience: High School Degree or equivalent required. 1+ years shipping experience required. 1+ years SAP experience preferred. Logistics experience preferred. Physical requirements: Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job: lift up to 35 pounds, complete assisted lifts of 35-50 pounds, push or pull containers on a pallet jacks, repetitive bending and stooping, and may require occasional lifting overhead. Must be able to stand at workstation for long periods of time. Target market salary range: $18.90 - $25.60 per hour.
