Cloud Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert
PingWind is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Cloud Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (CC SME) to provide strategic and hands-on cybersecurity leadership in support of Military Community & Family Policy (MC&FP) initiatives. The CC SME will play a key role in guiding cloud cybersecurity practices, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and supporting secure cloud operations within a dynamic defense environment. Typical Responsibilities/Tasks: Minimum of eight years of experience in managing cybersecurity projects of similar size and complexity to this requirement within a cloud environment. Minimum of eight years of experience with the NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, STIGs, SCAP, IAVAs, and FISMA. Serve as the principal advisor on cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies in cloud environments. Lead implementation of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices including NIST RMF and NIST SP 800-53. Ensure system compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity standards such as STIGs, SCAP, IAVAs, and FISMA. Support incident handling, vulnerability assessment, system recovery, and defensive cyber operations. Continuously assess cybersecurity posture and lead proactive measures for threat detection and mitigation. Required Qualifications: Tier 5 Investigation Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree Minimum of eight years of experience supporting DoD defensive cyber operational activities, including, but not limited to, information system protection, defense, response (incident handling), reporting, and recovery. Minimum of eight years of experience analyzing, assessing, and implementing corrective actions based on vulnerability management and penetration testing. Provide strategic and technical leadership for cloud cybersecurity initiatives supporting MC&FP operations.
