Quality Assurance Technician
We are seeking dedicated Quality Assurance Technicians to join our dynamic team in Des Moines. As a QA Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products and components meet the highest standards. You will be responsible for testing, process checks, and maintaining compliance with company standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Operate and maintain lab equipment to test finished products and components to ensure they meet specified parameters. Perform process checks throughout production, packaging, and warehousing functions. Set up and calibrate HPLC and GC testing equipment. Receive, document, and enter batch testing results for clients into specified systems. Analyze and report quality results to supervisors and managers. Conduct physical property testing using various instrumentation. Provide independent oversight of lab processes and verify compliance with company standards and policies. Essential Skills
Proficiency in Chemistry, HPLC, GC, GMP, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control. Experience with pipetting and dilutions. Strong understanding of biochemical processes. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related life science field highly preferred. 2+ years of experience in a production or quality lab setting preferred. High School diploma required. Work Environment
The work environment involves a manufacturing/plant setting with a dynamic lab atmosphere. Technicians must be comfortable working around moving mechanical parts and conditions that may include wet or humid environments, exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals, and outdoor weather while walking between buildings. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with operations, leadership, and plant management. The role requires adaptability, focus, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, frequent use of hands, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. A company-provided navy jumpsuit uniform and closed-toe shoes are required. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
