Lab Assistant - 3rd Shift
This is an entry level role; no experience necessary. As a Lab Assistant on the 3rd shift, you will play a crucial role in supporting our laboratory operations by handling a variety of specimen-related tasks. This position involves pulling samples from storage or walk-in fridges, labeling and pouring specimens, and scanning samples into our tracking system. You will manage between 200-300 samples at a time and ensure the smooth processing of clinical lab specimens. Responsibilities
Receive and sort clinical lab specimens. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis. Scan and/or enter data of specimen and patient information. Ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly and perform minor maintenance. Replenish test bench supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards. Essential Skills
Comfort with handling human samples. Ability to stand for the majority of the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Must be at least 18 years old. Work Environment
This role operates on a contract basis with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. The work schedule is Wednesday to Sunday, from 12:00 am to 8:30 am. Employees receive two paid fifteen-minute breaks and one unpaid thirty-minute break. You will spend a significant portion of your shift on your feet and may be required to lift and push 10-15 pounds. Part of the shift involves working in walk-in fridges, though rotations ensure you are not there for the entire shift. The position offers a supportive environment with excellent trainers and leadership, and successful performance can lead to promotion and a substantial salary increase. Pay and Benefits
