Lead Laundry Attendant
Job Category: Hotel Operations Pay Rate: $19.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on Saturday and Sunday Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist supervisors with staff training, direct daily work activities and inspect completed work for conformance to standards Receive linen / towel shipments and complete monthly linen inventories Maintain a working process to ensure maximum productivity Organize the laundry room, maintain preventive maintenance records and schedule equipment maintenance Ensure hotel landings are stocked at the beginning of each work day Ensure proper usage of laundry chemicals Assist other staff as needed, including cleaning hotel room Knowledge and Certification, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and Certification- Required: 1-year laundry experience in a mid-sized, full-service hotel Knowledge and Certification- Preferred: Previous lead experience in a similar position Skills- Required: Accurate and detail-oriented Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Abilities- Required: Ability to work fast and efficiently and complete multiple tasks under pressure Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
