Machine Operator

Machine Operator This position involves performing repetitive machining tasks such as sawing, drilling, grinding, threading, and cleaning on various metal materials. Working from prints, travelers, and instructions, the role includes selecting materials, checking dimensions with measuring tools, deburring parts, and making necessary adjustments to meet specifications. Operators are expected to perform first-piece and in-process inspections, use cranes or carts to move materials, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Familiarity with both imperial and metric measurements is required, along with the ability to cross-train on other machines and assist in maintaining workplace safety. How You Will Help Perform repetitive machining operations on ferrous and non-ferrous material. Work from operation traveler, prints and oral instructions. Clean away chips and oil and check dimensions using measuring tools. Deburr and clean off parts. Run/inspect first piece and production parts and make adjustments. Use crane, dollies and carts to move materials. Use various measuring devices. Understanding of imperial and metric measurements. Store all tooling, inserts and additional point-of-use items. Maintain work area as well as machines, tools, and equipment. Performs all job functions in accordance with established procedures. Identify and assist in remediation of safety hazards. Ability to cross-train on various machines. What You Will Have Ability to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to use measuring equipment and read gauges. Must be able to operate a forklift and use hoists.
