Water Treatment Operator
We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator for a contract-to-direct assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a water production and distribution system on an assigned shift. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm This position has a pay rate of $23.01/hr This position requires a New Mexico Level 1 Water Certification Responsibilities
Operates, maintains and performs minor repairs on water production, treatment and distribution systems Installs operates and repairs water distribution and collection systems including mains, service lines, fire hydrants, water valves, PRV's and water meters Reads and monitors gauges, meters and control panels Starts and stops equipment and operates valves to route and control flow Learns and gains skills involving the maintenance of equipment and servicing work in the plant Operates treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water production and distribution system Observes and reports abnormalities to supervisor Maintains shift log and records meter and gauge readings Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests and analyses Performs routine maintenance functions and custodial duties Ability and willingness to work on-call shifts, as requested, including being fit and able to respond to call-ins in a timely manner Perform other duties as required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED A valid Drivers License A valid New Mexico Level 1 Water Certification 1+ years' experience in operating water / wastewater treatment plants
