This prestigious healthcare system is a leading provider in the Detroit metropolitan area, featuring advanced cardiac care facilities. The Heart Rhythm Institute operates across multiple campuses including a teaching hospital with over 200 residents and 30 fellows, providing high-acuity patient care in Level I and Level III Trauma Centers.

Opportunity: ACLS,BLS,PALS,DEA - Cardiology Electrophysiologist

This is a full-time, leadership-track opportunity for a Board-Certified Cardiology Electrophysiologist to join the Heart Rhythm Institute. The position offers a high-volume practice with built-in referrals, advanced procedural support, teaching opportunities, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services at two hospital locations
  • Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with shared on-call coverage (2:1 ratio)
  • Travel between Detroit and Warren locations as needed
  • Perform procedures including pacemaker and defibrillator implants, as well as right- and left-sided ablations
  • Participate in inpatient rounding during call weeks at multiple hospitals; APP independently rounds at one location
  • Build and manage a patient panel with strong internal referral streams and high existing volume
  • Collaborate closely with an experienced EP cardiologist, APRN, cardiovascular thoracic surgeons, and a skilled support team
  • Engage in medical education and mentoring in a teaching hospital environment
  • Use Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic in late 2025/early 2026)
  • Shared call and weekend responsibilities
  • Must be Board Certified in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Completion of accredited Cardiology and Electrophysiology Fellowships required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience preferred
  • Must hold or be eligible for Michigan Medical License
