Locums - Hancock, Michigan Orthopedic SurgeonClinical Role:
  • Provide Emergency Department call coverage at ASC-verified Level III Trauma Facility
  • Focus on Total Joints and general ortho (No Spine)
  • Supportive team: Orthopaedic PAs, full surgical staff, digital radiology department
  • Referral fees available for qualified candidates
Availability / Schedule:
  • Orientation: Tues 9/16, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (onsite required)
  • Assignment Dates / Call Coverage:
    • Weds AM - Thurs 9/25
    • Ending Fri AM
  • Call Type: Beeper
  • Call Response Time: 20 minutes
  • Call Ratio: On call entire assignment
Procedures / Responsibilities:
  • Fractures, sports injuries, general ortho
  • Bread-and-butter ED consults; complicated cases transferred
  • OR block time available (efficient, flexible)
  • Admissions required
  • Assigned / Unassigned Rounding Patients
  • Wound care managed by General Surgeons
Licenses / Certifications:
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible - REQUIRED
  • MI License - REQUIRED
  • MI CDS - REQUIRED
  • MI DEA - REQUIRED
Practice / Facility:
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Level III Trauma Facility
  • Efficient OR scheduling, fully digital radiology
