The hospital features a well-established, highly accomplished Endoscopy Unit team with four procedure rooms/Endo Suites equipped with modern Olympus technology, hydrogen breath testing, and capsule endoscopy capabilities.

Job Details:
• Coverage needed from September 23 (orientation) through October 1 (7am) • Monday-Friday schedule: 9-hour shift with 1-hour lunch (8 hours billable) plus 15-hour overnight call • Weekend call: 24 hours • Average of 12 patients per day for procedures, fewer inpatients • Perform various procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement • ERCP/EUS skills preferred • Experience with upper and lower GI endoscopy with various interventions including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, and polyp excision • Ability to perform esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation • Experience with liver biopsy and insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube • Working with Paragon & EndoPro EMR systems • Propofol sedation utilized • Must be Michigan licensed with ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications • Independent charting required without scribe assistance • Responsible for reviewing pathology and patient communication regarding results and follow-up • Complete block coverage required - partial availability not considered
