Role

As a key member of Vultron, you will:

  • Design, build, and operate the foundational infrastructure behind our AI platforms.

  • Build scalable & secure cloud and on-premise systems that support AI workflows, meet compliance obligations, and enable rapid iteration and deployment across diverse environments.

  • Bring deep experience in self-hosting open-source infrastructure

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.

  • Demonstrated experience with Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).

  • Experience self-hosting and managing open-source infrastructure such as Postgres, Prometheus/Grafana, object storage (e.g., SeaweedFS), and observability pipelines.

  • Strong scripting ability in Bash and Python.

  • Deep understanding of system-level security, networking, and backup strategies.

  • Proven leadership in software development with strong cross-functional collaboration and a growth mindset driven by continuous learning and exploration of new technologies.

  • Due to compliance requirements with certain government customers, this role requires access to systems restricted to U.S. persons (as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62). U.S. citizenship is preferred due to additional restrictions imposed by some contracts.

Bonus

  • Experience deploying open-source AI tools (e.g., vLLM, TGI, Hugging Face Transformers, embedding pipelines, FAISS).

  • Familiarity with GPU-based systems, model serving, and low-latency inference workloads.

  • Previous ownership of infrastructure supporting FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency, SOC 2, or NIST 800-171 compliance.

  • Experience with audit prep, documentation, and evidence collection for regulated environments.

  • Ability to operate independently in air-gapped or hybrid network environments.

  • Experience in defense tech or high-stakes enterprise markets is a plus.

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance
