$60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

We are seeking a licensed Attorney for a short-term contract of 6-8 weeks with an insurance company owned and governed by more than 1,160 member colleges, universities, independent schools, public school districts, public school insurance pools, and related organizations throughout the United States. Members range from small, private schools to multi-campus public universities.

This will be a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in the Bethesda, MD office.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including RFPs, vendor agreements, venue agreements, complex IT agreements and NDAs.
• Assessing potential risks and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintain a thorough and up- to date knowledge of all aspects of commercial contracting and educates internal customers on contract risks, terms and conditions.

Requirements :

• 5+ years of experience in the legal field with at least 5 years commercial contract negotiation experience
• 2+ years focus on technology agreements
• Experience handling the above responsibilities
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School
• Licensed to practice law in Maryland
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work successfully in a dynamic team environment
• Proficiency in Windows environment, MS Office, Outlook, Excel; technically savvy

Pay Range:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $60-65 per hour. We understand that salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
