nJob Summary
nDuring the 17-Point Oil Change, the Automotive Service Center Courtesy Technician is responsible for the tasks that the customer can most readily see, such as vacuuming, cleaning the windows, and setting the tire pressure. Performing these duties with care and professionalism will create a positive impression with the customer. During the 17-Point Oil Change, the Courtesy Technician’s duties and responsibilities include:
nDrive vehicle into bay, prepare vehicle for service – open hood, roll up windows, unlock doors, remove keys
nPerform Tech Talk service
nPrepare service documents and prepare and affix static stickers
nPerform courtesy cleaning: vacuum interior, wash exterior windows.
nVisually inspect wiper blades
nCheck and adjust tire pressure if necessary
nReset oil indicator light, if applicable
nStart vehicle and check oil pressure drive vehicle out of bay and present to customer
nGeneral cleanup
nOther Duties and Responsibilities
nIn addition to the duties listed above, every crew member is responsible for general center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows and clearing litter. Crew members must attend crew meetings as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.

nAbility and licensed to operate motor vehicles

nAbility to properly use mechanical hand tools

nNo previous experience or training required
nValid state driver’s license required
nWorking Conditions
nMaterials and Equipment used: Automotive oils, fluids, and lubricants. Windshield washer fluid, battery electrolyte
nEnvironment: Frequent exposure to outside weather elements, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes throughout the entire shift.
nPhysical Activities: Position requires good corrected vision, hearing, frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, handling, reaching, and lifting.
