Summary: Manufacturing Process Optimization, Continuous Improvement Initiatives, Documentation and Standardization, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Supplier Management, Compliance and Quality Assurance
Responsibilities: n
- n
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety. n
- Evaluate existing processes, workflows, and equipment to identify improvement opportunities, streamline operations, reduce waste, and minimize costs. n
- Design tools, fixtures, and equipment modifications to enhance safety and ergonomics. n
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through process improvements and equipment upgrades. n
- Lead and participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity improvements. n
- Analyze production data and implement solutions for continuous improvement. n
- Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement. n
- Develop and maintain documentation such as process flowcharts, work instructions, and SOPs. n
- Create standard work instructions for production processes to ensure consistency and compliance. n
- Collaborate with production, design, and quality assurance teams to develop manufacturing strategies. n
- Provide technical support to production personnel and troubleshoot manufacturing issues. n
- Manage relationships with external suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness. n
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, monitor supplier performance, and implement corrective actions as needed. n
- Coordinate supplier audits and collaborate with internal teams to develop supplier improvement initiatives and address supply chain risks. n
- Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to ISO 9001-2015 and meet all Environmental, Health & Safety requirements. n
- Support quality assurance and initiate initiatives for scrap and waste reduction. n
Requirements: n
- n
- Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent degree or experience. n
- 5 - 10 years of experience in a CNC machining manufacturing environment. n
- Working knowledge of manufacturing machinery and machining processes. n
- Familiarity with ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (interpretation of engineering detail drawings). n
- Prior machining experience; CNC programming or CAD-CAM knowledge is beneficial. n
- Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing principles. n
- Proficiency in using MRP and similar computer-based technologies in a production-manufacturing environment. n
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards. n
- Ability to organize work and effectively use MRP systems to achieve customer delivery requirements. n
