Structural Engineer | Atlanta, GA

Our client, a well-established civil, structural, and investigative engineering firm with a footprint, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position offers exposure to a broad range of project types and structural materials, with opportunities to contribute to new building designs as well as existing building investigations and retrofits.

This role is ideal for a motivated engineer who is ready to work collaboratively, build industry relationships, and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

n
    n
  • n

    Perform engineering calculations, develop drawings, and contribute to construction administration

    n
  • n
  • n

    Produce structural models and drawings using Revit; supervise and review work of BIM technicians

    n
  • n
  • n

    Participate in site visits and perform field observations

    n
  • n
  • n

    Interact directly with owners, architects, and contractors

    n
  • n
  • n

    Conduct quality control checks of engineering documentation

    n
  • n
  • n

    Coordinate structural designs with multi-disciplinary teams

    n
  • n
  • n

    Respond to RFIs and review shop drawings

    n
  • n
  • n

    Serve as a mentor to junior engineers and EITs

    n
  • n
n

Required Qualifications:

n
    n
  • n

    Registered Professional Engineer (PE)

    n
  • n
  • n

    BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, plus 4–6 years of progressive engineering experience

    n
      n
    • n

      (MSCE or MSAE may count as one year of experience )

      n
    • n
    n
  • n
n

Qualifications:

n
    n
  • n

    PE licensure in Georgia

    n
  • n
  • n

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience designing and detailing small to medium-sized projects

    n
  • n
  • n

    Demonstrated ability to manage projects within schedule and budget constraints

    n
  • n
  • n

    Experience supporting projects from design to construction completion

    n
  • n
  • n

    Time management skills and commitment to professional growth

    n
  • n
  • n

    Membership in professional or technical societies

    n
  • n
  • n

    Completion of the 16-hour Structural Engineering Exam (SE license)
