MasterMold, LLC is excited to announce the opening of a brand-new position, Mechanical Design Engineer. In this role, the right candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical components, systems, and products. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical, functional, and aesthetic requirements while maintaining a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of working experience as a Mechanical Engineer; however, well-qualified candidates with limited work experience will also be considered.

n

An example of duties includes, but is not limited to:

n

Develop design concepts for mechanical components and systems based on project specifications, client requirements, and technical feasibility.

n

Create detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.

n

Perform engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate design performance under various conditions.

n

Oversee the development and testing of prototypes to ensure design integrity and functionality.

n

Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and drawings.

n

Work closely with other engineers, production teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of designs into manufacturing processes.

n

Ensure all designs meet applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

n

Stay updated with advancements in mechanical design technology and materials and implement innovative solutions to enhance product performance and reduce costs.

Recommended Qualifications:

n

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

n

• 3-4 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in SMC manufacturing.

n

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).

n

• Knowledge of welding and welding processes.

n

• Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles.

n

• Familiarity with design standards and codes (e.g., ASME, ISO).

n

• Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).

n

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

n

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

n

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
