Overview:
We are actively seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a focus on Aerospace projects . This role involves engineering drawing reviews, CAD modeling, and Simulink/Matlab analysis to meet aerospace standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GD T principles, ASME, ISO standards , and aerospace mechanical engineering . This role is based in North Hollywood CA.

Design and develop engineering drawings for aerospace components, ensuring compliance with ASME, ISO, and company standards .

Conduct data segregation, triaging , and engineering drawing reviews for accuracy and completeness.
n n - n
Utilize Simulink/Matlab for modeling and simulation of aerospace designs.
n n - n
Create and maintain 3D models and concepts , ensuring alignment with design specifications.
n n - n
Review and approve tolerance stack analyses for completeness and correctness.
n n - n
Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure designs meet customer requirements and are fully functional.

Identify and report non-compliance issues , collaborating with project managers and design teams for correction.
n n - n
Interact with customers to understand requirements, propose solutions, and lead new development processes .

Ensure all engineering drawings are compliant with ASME Y14.5-2009 and ISO GPS standards .

Participate in process improvements to prevent recurring quality issues.
n n - n
Mentor junior engineers to enhance their engineering drawing skills and technical understanding.

Must-Have Qualifications:

4–7 years of experience with Simulink/Matlab for aerospace applications.
n n - n
8+ years of experience with CAD software —specifically Solidworks and Catia v5 .
n n - n
Certified/Experienced in GD T principles (minimum 5 years required).
n n - n
Aerospace Mechanical Engineering and Product Definition Engineering experience.
n n - n
Ability to interpret and work with orthographic, isometric, and sectional views .
n n - n
Familiarity with ASME Y14.5-2009 and ISO GPS (Geometric Product Specifications) for compliance.

Practical experience in a design or manufacturing industry , preferably Aerospace .

Ability to design and lead new development processes .
n n - n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
n n - n
Ability to work onsite five days a week in North Hollywood, CA .
