PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Rapid Response Mechanic to play a crucial role in ensuring aircraft are assembled, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards.

Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (6 Months)

Location: Wichita, KS 67210

Schedule: Monday to Friday Predominantly 2nd shift but some may work on other shifts

Pay Rate: $53-$58/hour

What You'll Do:

As a Rapid Response Mechanic , you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and repairing major structural components to ensure aircraft integrity. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Performing complex structural assembly on fuselage panels, bulkheads, and subassemblies.

Conducting rework operations and troubleshooting structural discrepancies to bring aircraft into compliance.
n
n
Removing and replacing skins and major Material Review Board (MRB) repairs outside of the standard shop environment.
n
n
Match-drilling components to ensure engineering configuration accuracy.
n
n
Conducting precision inspections and functional tests to verify assembly integrity.
n
n
Using shop mathematics and precision measuring instruments for detailed adjustments.
n
n
Ensuring proper stabilization and balancing of jack systems and cradles before starting skin changes.
n
n
Moving and handling components as needed to support seamless manufacturing processes.
n
n
Assisting in the training of other personnel on assembly, installation, and inspection techniques .
n
n
Performing routine minor machine maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
n
n
Maintaining compliance with engineering specifications and quality control standards.
n

What You'll Bring:

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in aerospace or aircraft manufacturing .

n
Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting regulations .
n
n
Experience with match-drilling and major structural repairs .
n
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting expertise.
n

Pay Details: $53.00 to $58.00 per hour
