Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support and evolve our hybrid infrastructure, spanning both on-premises systems and AWS cloud environments. This role is instrumental in automating deployments, maintaining high-availability Kubernetes workloads, and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. The ideal candidate has deep experience with infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and monitoring tools in complex, production-critical environments. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable software delivery Manage containerized workloads and services on on-prem Kubernetes clusters, ensuring uptime, scalability, and performance Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible Maintain and evolve observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, Sentry) for monitoring, logging, and alerting Oversee management of Docker images, container registries, and deployment configurations Collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and security teams to ensure seamless release processes Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related incidents efficiently Contribute to infrastructure documentation and ensure CI/CD pipelines adhere to security and compliance standards Support and occasionally mentor junior team members on DevOps best practices Must-Have Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE roles, particularly in on-prem Kubernetes and infrastructure environments Production-level experience with GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Ansible Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox, VMware ESXi) Strong proficiency in managing containerized services and Docker workflows Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, Sentry) Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Redis in production setups Strong proficiency with message broker RabbitMQ or Kafka streaming platform Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python Fluent in English (minimum B1+, strong verbal and written communication skills) Nice-to-Have Requirements Kubernetes certification (e.g., CKA) AWS certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) Experience with KeyCloak for identity and access management Familiarity with Apache APISIX, or other API Gateways Work Conditions & Contract Info Employment Type: B2B contract Work Setup: Fully remote available; preference for hybrid availability in Vilnius, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Sofia, or Ahmedabad Compensation: €15–€30/hour gross, depending on qualifications Reports To: Head of DevOps Team Structure: You will be the 4th or 5th DevOps Engineer, part of a broader team of 300+ IT specialists What we offer: Work-life Balance: strive for balance with flexible working hours and hybrid work possibilities.
