Location: Baltimore, MD Schedule: Full-Time (Hybrid On-Site Preferred) Submission Format: MS Word resume with 3 professional references (preferred) Position Overview We are seeking a qualified ETL Analyst / Developer to join our data services team. This individual will play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines, supporting data warehouse initiatives, and enabling efficient analytics across the K-12 school system. The role requires strong ETL and SQL Server experience and a firm understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various systems Collaborate with data analysts, system architects, SQL Server DBAs, and developers to ensure reliable and optimized database structures Convert and consolidate data from multiple sources for use in analytics and reporting Support the analytics team with data retrieval and summarization tasks Write efficient SQL scripts, build data models, and support performance tuning Maintain stability and security of database systems and associated components Manage multiple priorities and concurrent requests, with a strong ability to multitask Troubleshoot, monitor, and ensure data integrity and consistency across environments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of ETL and database development experience, OR 10+ years of directly related experience without a degree Minimum of 5 years of hands-on ETL development experience Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including scripting and administration Proven experience working with data warehouse principles, architecture, and best practices Technical Skills & Tools Proficiency in SQL scripting and data modeling Experience working in Microsoft SQL Server environments, including Azure SQL instances Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS or similar platforms) Understanding of data normalization, indexing, and schema design Basic knowledge of managing computers and peripherals is a plus Comfortable operating in an Office 365 ecosystem (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in or supporting K-12 public school systems Ability to translate technical needs into solutions within educational environments Submission Requirements Resume in MS Word format Three (3) professional references (preferred) If you're a data-driven professional with a strong background in ETL and a passion for education, we invite you to apply and contribute to BCPS's mission of enhancing academic success through data and technology.
