Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hospitality-obsessed General Manager to lead the daily operations at Little Maven. The GM is responsible for the performance and culture of the restaurant, ensuring operational excellence, team engagement, and guest satisfaction. This role requires a sharp operator with a deep understanding of P&Ls, labor and COGs control, guest experience, and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all FOH and BOH daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency
Lead, coach, and develop department heads and hourly team members to foster a high-performing, accountable, and motivated culture
Own and analyze weekly P&L, flash reporting, and financial metrics to drive profitability
Monitor and manage labor, inventory, scheduling, and cost of goods to ensure targets are met
Ensure all systems, policies, and procedures are followed with attention to consistency and compliance
Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training for new hires, ensuring alignment with Little Maven’s standards
Foster a strong relationship with the culinary team to maintain menu consistency, execution, and quality
Serve as the face of the business to guests, vendors, partners, and the neighborhood community
Partner with VCR Group leadership on strategic initiatives, marketing, and long-term planning
Preferred Qualifications
3–5+ years experience as a General Manager or Director of Operations in a high-volume or upscale dining environment
Deep understanding of hospitality, leadership, and restaurant operations
Strong financial acumen and a track record of managing to budget
Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and guest recovery skills
Experience with POS (Toast/Tabit), scheduling (7Shifts), inventory management, and reservation platforms (Resy)
