As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth management, Portfolio investor tools team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, multi-threading, functional programming, distributed applications, and client-server architecture. Extensive experience in building performant, scalable, and reliable microservices. Proficiency in Core Java & EE, with expertise in frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Flux, and Spring Security. Experience in Web UI development using ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Skills in relational database development, including SQL and data modeling. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and designing applications natively on AWS, utilizing key services like AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, S3, Aurora, and API Gateway. Familiarity with unit and integration testing tools and techniques, including JUnit, mocking, and test-driven development. Expertise in high availability development and architectural practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proven track record of technical leadership experience, with exposure to leveraging AI tools for delivering software at scale. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills-

Technical leadership experience. Experience in Reactive Programming. Experience in DevOps practices. Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ. Experience in the Financial Services industry. Understanding of investment securities. Exposure to Atlassian tracking, collaboration, and code quality tools.

Base Pay/Salary Jersey City,NJ $171,000.00 - $260,000.00 / year
