Job Title: Transactional Attorney – HOA (Open to HOA Work) Location: Laguna Hills, CA
(Hybrid – 1–2 days in office per week) Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Transactional Attorney
who is open to handling
Homeowners Association (HOA)
matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in general transactional legal work and a willingness to grow their expertise in HOA law. Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, governing documents, and other legal agreements related to HOA operations. Advise clients (primarily HOAs) on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. Conduct legal research and provide written opinions on complex issues affecting HOAs. Assist in amendments to CC&Rs, bylaws, and rules and regulations. Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure client needs are met efficiently. Handle additional transactional matters as needed, including commercial contracts, corporate filings, and risk mitigation. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar license. 2+ years of experience in transactional law; HOA experience is a plus but not required. Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to HOA-specific legal work. Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously. Salary and Other Compensation : The annual salary for this position is between $170000 – 220000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
