Job Details:

Mercer University is searching for an Admissions Counselor for the School of Business on the Atlanta, GA campus.

Responsibilities :

The Admissions Counselor in the Mercer School of Business is expected to perform a full range of admissions and recruitment activities to admit and enroll highly qualified students, including but not limited to corresponding with and providing excellent customer service and advisement to prospective students, applicants, and enrolled students; assisting with the planning and execution of on and off-campus recruitment and admissions events; facilitating application evaluation and processing; and supporting the operational needs of the Admissions office; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree (preferably in business, marketing, leadership, counseling or education) from an accredited college/university is required. Candidates who have prior experience in admissions/recruitment or a similar sales oriented role preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for letters, mailings, etc.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Sound knowledge and experience of postsecondary recruitment, admissions and financial aid.

Database enrollment management techniques.

Ability to implement “state of the art” marketing and recruitment strategies.

Planning, organizing, management skills, processing and technology.

Leadership and team building skills.

Understanding of working adult degree programs.

Appreciation of university culture.

Highly organized and analytical multitasker.
