Wilson Farm seeks an experienced, hands-on, store-based, Marketing Associate. This is a full-time onsite position (5 days, 45-50 hours/week, which may evolve as you get to know the business, and during our peak seasons, holidays and events, will likely increase). Ideally, scheduled days off would be Monday & Tuesday. Above all, this is a general Marketing position with a focus on Event Coordination. You will be fully engaged and involved within the day to day of the Marketing and Events department. We are a high-energy, customer-focused, hard-working organization and like to have fun! This position starts at $23/hr commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
Work with department manager to create new and fresh ideas for promotional opportunities
Facilitate in-store and off-site promotions and events as well as seasonal activities to increase customer foot traffic and boost overall sales. This includes all food samplings, department specialty events (including in-store festivals, pick-your-own tulips, weekend Fall activities in October, ice cream social weekend, and more!), employee events, etc., and all logistics necessary to successfully execute these activities
Expand use of public relations, advertising and community relations (participate in writing/designing collateral materials)
Miscellaneous projects include (but not limited to): photograph Wilson Farm offerings, maintain signage, and any/all projects and assignments as created by the department manager, you or management
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in marketing, promotions and events - ideally in the retail, event planning or hospitality industries
Experience with planning/managing a promotional budget, resources and logistics
Flexible and adaptable work style (priorities can shift quickly), "can-do" attitude
Enthusiastic, innovative and outgoing personality
Qualifications:
Experience with both MACs and PCs
Expertise with promotions on social media platforms
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite; including Illustrator & Photoshop
Strong communication skills: verbal and written
Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred
