Identifies, advises and implements safety improvementsAbility to learn production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation supportPerforms maintenance functions and optimization projects on high precision manufacturing and handling equipment including process chillers and dust handling systemsIdentifies warning signs of impending equipment failureUses experience to identify and implement improvementsServices, repairs, adjusts and tests machines, devices and equipment. Assists other departments with preventative maintenance tasksPerforms basic troubleshooting for electrical problems with single phase and 3 phase motors, wiring and controlsCollaborates with team in the repair or removal of machines, machine parts, or equipmentUses experience and creativity to fix or repair machinery breakdowns to minimize downtimeBe willing to work at heights and climb as neededPerforms other tasks and duties as assignedType of Experience and Knowledge:Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent experienceAssociates Degree in Electronics preferred5+ years extensive experience in maintenance of a manufacturing environmentAbility to demonstration advanced knowledge of industrial control systemsWelding and Fabrication skills related to the modification of existing equipmentCompetencies: Intermediate experience with PLC's, VFD's and computersAbility to work with automation, production, and computer systemsExceptional attention to detailAbility to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings/diagramsAbove average math skillsGood communication across all levels of the organizationGood organizational, communication and personal skillsAbility to work both independently and with a teamExperience with plumbing, pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings, and the installation and maintenance of those devicesUnderstand basic high/low level voltagePreventive maintenance on highly automated machinery (packaging machinery, handling equipment, etc.)Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information: Disclaimer: The information on this description was prepared by Compensation and department management and is designed to indicate the general nature and level of the work performed by employees within this classification.
