This role supports their internal compliance department in ensuring full adherence to local, state, and federal housing regulations.Position SummaryWe are hiring a Business Operations Associate to join our client's Recertification Department. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment and is detail-oriented, highly organized, and confident managing compliance workflows. This person will handle certifications, resident communication, documentation tracking, and reporting requirements to ensure the organization remains audit-ready and fully compliant. This is a great entry level position with upward career mobility.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to tenant inquiries via phone and provide excellent customer serviceCollect and process housing recertifications and student status affidavitsContact tenants for missing or corrected documents to ensure complianceReview tenant income certifications for accuracy and program alignmentComplete annual owner and housing recertificationsCreate and maintain spreadsheets and compliance reportsSubmit monthly and annual reports to owners, government agencies, and investorsTrack and resolve outstanding compliance issuesEnsure timely responses to compliance-related emailsMaintain organized tenant files; scan and store documents in appropriate foldersPerform other compliance-related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (some college preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and ExcelExperience using Mail Merge functionsStrong organizational skills and ability to multitaskExcellent written and verbal communicationSelf-starter with ability to work independently or under direct supervisionTeam-oriented and dependable with a strong work ethicComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsBilingual in English/Spanish Location: Queens, NY Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hourWhy EqualAccessWe don't just place candidates - we help build careers.
