Job Title: Operating Room TechnicianLocation: Cooperstown, NY 13326 Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract - Extendable) Shift: 12-Hour Days, 36 Hours/Week (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)Pay Rate: $50/hourOverview:A healthcare facility in Cooperstown, NY is seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician for a 13-week contract assignment with potential extension. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the operating room is safe, sterile, and fully prepared.Certifications & Requirements:Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferredMinimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experienceBLS certification is requiredKey Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgical proceduresSet up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile suppliesAssist surgeons by passing instruments and other items during surgeryMaintain strict sterile technique and monitor for any breaks in sterilityHandle surgical specimens with appropriate careClean and restock the operating room post-procedureCollaborate closely with Registered Nurses and surgical team members to ensure the best patient care
