DescriptionHourly Pay: $16.50 - $22.00Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, & in-store discountsWhat You'll Do•Prepare ingredients: Chop vegetables and fruits, follow recipes for entrees and sides, and restock items throughout your shift•Support daily food production: Prepare soups, cornbread, biscuits, and other menu items; refill as needed•Maintain food safety: Test temperatures, rotate leftovers properly, and store all food according to guidelines•Assist the team: Step in for cooks during breaks (if able), and communicate product shortages or equipment issues to management•Keep things clean: Maintain a sanitary workspace and comply with Health Department regulations•Deliver customer excellence: Provide friendly, helpful service when interacting with guests or answering questions•Attend team meetings: Stay informed and engaged in all scheduled team communicationsWhat You BringExperience & Skills:•Some experience in commercial food preparation (hot and/or cold line) preferred•Knowledge of safe food handling and basic kitchen equipment•Basic understanding of recipe reading and prep tasks•Ability to perform simple math related to food portions and measurementsCommunication & Abilities:•Must be able to read, write, and speak English at a basic level•Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure•Team player who communicates effectively with coworkers and supervisors•Reliable and committed to food quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfactionPhysical Requirements•Stand for long periods (up to 8 hours per shift)•Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
