Senior IT Business Analyst
to support the development and optimization of technology solutions that enhance clinical and laboratory operations. This role is responsible for gathering and translating business requirements, guiding system design and testing, and collaborating across departments to ensure reliable, scalable solutions that reflect the precision and complexity of diagnostic healthcare. Onsite/Hybrid, Business Hours Salary range:
$ 75,000 - $115,000 per year Job Responsibilities Planning and Design:
Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Sets customer expectation on feasibility. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logic document using business analysis models that are understood by the customer and IT Provide the business direction for system changes Work with the development teams and product owner to plan appropriate scenarios that meet project specifications Assign complexity estimations to tasks
Test Development:
Test all scenarios to determine whether system changes met project specifications, ensuring proper functionality and stability Work with peers to provide appropriate documentation of work Collaborate with teammates on tasks keeping manager aware of progress and risk Write efficient, reliable and scalable test automation scripts
Support and Maintenance:
Work with development teams to support ongoing development tasks Work with support teams to understand and triage defects as they arise Work with development teams to mitigate potential defects Work with users to remediate defects during UAT Becomes intimately familiar with the processes of the laboratory in order to deliver the highest quality product to the business Acts as a role model by providing leadership and mentor to other testing resources Be available to address emergency issues in a 24/7 healthcare environment
Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field preferred. Experience: Experience in a medical laboratory, with a basic understanding of clinical and anatomical pathology terminology Preferred: Microbiology background with blood bank bench experience Excellent problem solver, with a focus on team success Excellent communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams Skills: Create SQL queries from database tables Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
