Job Type Part-timeDescriptionPrimary Focus:Provides personal individualized care to patients/patients utilizing the Nursing Care Plan in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care.Essential Functions:Works collaboratively with peers and team members, using tactful, diplomatic communication techniques in potentially sensitive or emotionally charged situations.Takes responsibility of this position and completes duties with minimal direction for supervisor when appropriate.Assists patients with ADL's skillfully with consideration for individual needs. Provides personal hygiene measures appropriately.Utilizes correct procedures in order to promote good skin care.Assists patient in using assistive devices in ambulation, dressing, eating, positioning, and allowing opportunity for self-care.Promotes and assists patients' participation in activities.Provides care outlined utilizing the Nursing Care Plan through utilization of Nursing Orders.Performs competently those technical skills considered basic to the scope of service on the unit.Treats patients, visitors and families with respect and dignity; identifies and addresses psychosocial needs.Assists the patient in the provision of adequate nutrition, including fluid intake and supplements.Follows procedures to aid adequate bladder and bowel elimination/retraining.Adjusts for physical and/or mental limitations of patients/patients.Provides care to avoid the need for physical restraints and when necessary, demonstrates proper application,Documents body functions including vital signs, weight, intake and output measurements and notifies the LN of any abnormalities.Replenishes and orders supplies. Reports all maintenance needs promptly. Supports and promotes unit, department, and facility policies, procedures and goals.Completes assigned cleaning tasks according to established schedule (DME). Provides care for the dying patient and provides postmortem care (may need to assist with transferring).Completes tasks as assigned by the Licensed Nurse within the NAR/NAC's Scope of Practice.Reads, understands, and follows care plans.Performs rehab program to patients/patients as outlined by PT.Knowledge of Electronic Health Records with complete and accurate documentation of ADL's, I&O's, B&B, behaviors, VS, weights or as directed by LN.Able to admit and discharge a patient using the EHR. Knowledge and skills appropriate for all nursing units (North Wing, West Wing, ER, and Outpatient Services) and competent ability to work in all nursing units of OMHC.Able to operate all essential patient care equipment.May need to assist other departments as necessary.Provides training and orientation for new nursing or agency staff as needed.Performs other duties as assigned. RequirementsRequired Education and CertificationCurrent NAC licensure in the State of Washington or if a NAR upon hire, must obtain NAC licensure within 3 months of hire.Current BLS upon hire and duration of employmentSalary Description $22-$32/hour DOE
