Machine Specialties, LLC is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs an manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients' most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.
We are currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. The Quality Inspector is responsible for completing final inspections prior to shipment, as well as in process inspections to support shop manufacturing. This role involves conducting inspections, testing, and documenting findings to maintain compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
This is an hourly position that will report directly to the Quality Inspection Manager.
Position Responsibilities
Study and interpret product specifications to ensure product conformity
Establish inspection plans and part acceptance criteria based on drawing requirements and customer feedback.
Examine manufactured products, primarily aerospace machined parts, to ensure they parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
Identify and communicate existing and potential quality issues
Perform dimensional inspection on machined parts using a variety of precision metrology instruments such as height gages, micrometers, bore gages, etc.
Collect and record data regarding defects
Document and process nonconforming product
Demonstrate flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask
Identify non-conforming materials and products, document discrepancies, and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the inspection and quality control processes.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Training/Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Minimum 3 years inspection experience
Machining experience preferred.
Aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
Must be able to pass a vision test, eyeglasses or contacts are acceptable.
