TITLE: Sales Project Manager

LOCATION:

Moonachie, New Jersey – 100%

REPORTING TO:

Report to the President & General Manager

SUMMARY:

Provide inside sales/technical support and project management from an initial quote through delivery and installation, start-up and training of equipment at customer site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Assist sales managers, sales group and inside sales team.

Support customer visits to Dough-how Center for demonstration/testing of pastry & bread products.

Prepare customer quotes for standard equipment inquiries.

Non-standard quotes: Collect customer requirements and specifications and submit to headquarters for feasibility study and preparation of special quote. Submit to customer and follow-up.

Estimate the profitability of every project before submitting quote to customer.

Review customer order incl. terms, enter into SAP system.

Prepare purchase order and submit to factory.

Submit purchase order to third party suppliers if needed.

Submit order confirmation to customer with delivery date as agreed with factory/supplier.

Maintain contact with factory/suppliers to ensure shipment on time.

Create and confirm pre-installation checklist with customers.

Track shipping status with forwarding agents through delivery to customer’s plant.

Schedule and coordinate service personnel for set-up, start-up and training.

Assemble all data for project costing and profitability analysis of each project from order point through delivery, installation and training customer.

Follow-up with customer upon completion of installation to ensure entire customer satisfaction. Assist in resolving any pending issues or complaints, including unpaid balances.

Obtain customer evaluation and comments on completion of project.

Coordinate customer service activities with After Sales Department and follow-up on customer complaints.

Maintain contact with key customers and prospects.

Make suggestions regarding changes, improvements in design, product line revisions, product enhancements, pricing or policy.

Participate in market potential estimates and in the preparation of sales cost estimates and budgets.

Assist in the planning and execution of special projects.

Participate at or regional shows/exhibitions as requested by Management.

Assist marketing initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

3 years’ experience in similar roles

2- or 4-year college degree

Strong verbal, written, and communication skills

Proficient at organization and scheduling

Ability to manage multiple projects

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

CAD experience required

SAP experience a plus

Bakery experience a plus

REQUIREMENTS

Occasional travel in North America and to factories in Switzerland and Italy.
