Job Summary The Experienced Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and performance of large production machinery and related systems. This role involves close collaboration with the Department Managers, Plant Manager, Shift Supervisors, and Engineering team. Strong communication skills are essential. The technician will apply electrical expertise in electrician work and controls and is expected to effectively plan and prioritize assignments. Responsibilities include maintaining manufacturing machines, support equipment, and utilities through research, problem-solving, and informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements: Proven experience in electrical systems and controls Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience High School Diploma or GED (preferred) Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, safety protocols, and technical manuals Forklift certification (preferred) Experience with PLC troubleshooting (preferred)
Primary Responsibilities Perform electrician duties and manage electrical controls systems Diagnose causes of electrical machine breakdowns Execute timely and efficient machine repairs Document all work performed with detailed reports Maintain clean and organized shop areas, inventory, tools, and supplies Collaborate with Product Manager/Plant Engineer for equipment upgrades and modifications Implement and test equipment changes; analyze results and adjust as needed Demonstrate working knowledge of tools, pneumatics, plumbing, hydraulics, and electrical systems Communicate maintenance updates and concerns with managers Participate in audits and resolve findings promptly Make data-driven, fact-based decisions using historical insights Uphold 5S principles to ensure cleanliness and organization Continuously expand knowledge of company tools and equipment Support mechanical system maintenance and troubleshooting Assist with facility maintenance duties Comply with company safety and HESS policies Coordinate regular machine maintenance with management Perform other related duties as assigned Apply basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) as needed
Physical Demands Employees must be able to: Stand, kneel, stoop, and bend for extended periods (up to 3 hours per 10-hour shift) Lift up to 25 pounds from floor to chest height Reach over and around equipment as needed Raise hands above shoulder height repeatedly Safely use ladders
