$28.00 per hour $2,500.00 Sign-on Bonus JOB SUMMARY This position is integral in the safe delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. Drivers are expected to maintain excellent relationships with customers while ensuring effective transport operations. BENEFITS Enjoy medical, dental, and vision insurance options. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers. Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections and log findings. Adapt to business needs by accepting additional deliveries as necessary. Utilize provided handheld devices for delivery validation and navigation. Operate forklifts and/or overhead cranes as needed. Ensure containers are cleaned and ready for delivery to customers. Manage rental paperwork and payments efficiently with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and issues. Perform field repairs on containers and equipment when necessary. Assist in storage center operations when required. Maintain a clean and organized truck cab. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Reports to Management, including Market Manager or Territory Manager. This position does not involve direct supervision of other employees. Use necessary software and operate office equipment easily. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class A License without air brake restriction. Current valid driver license. Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards. At least 21 years of age for insurance purposes. Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate required, or ability to obtain a minimum one-year certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software preferred. Basic math skills sufficient to perform required duties. Willingness to participate in a 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while driving or operating equipment. Frequent ascent/descend from truck cab and forklift using three points of contact. Ability to engage in physical activities related to equipment operation and delivery. Occasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close and peripheral vision. Frequent use of hands for various job-related tasks. WORKING CONDITIONS Variable shift start times, with additional hours on weekends if needed. Travel requirement: Within location territory. Work environment may include non-climate-controlled areas and exposure to weather conditions. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
