DevOps Engineer
This is a fully remote role.
Job purpose summary
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who brings a strong background as a .NET developer and extensive hands-on SQL Server experience. In this role, you will provide leadership and technical direction for the development and support of our automated Continuous Integration and Deployment systems. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to shape our long-term DevOps vision, orchestrate high-quality software deployments, and ensure the architectural integrity and evolution of our deployment systems and toolsets. You should thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy mentoring others, and be passionate about both development and operations.
Duties and responsibilities Lead the deployment of all Real Time Products to production and development environments. Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions to improve efficiency and reliability. Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications backed by SQL Server. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployment of new features and updates. Act as a technical mentor and coach, promoting best practices in DevOps, .NET development, and database management. Assist with application development and database design as needed. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud, and software engineering.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent experience. Minimum five years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Software Developer with a transition into DevOps. Proven, hands-on experience as a .NET developer (C#, ASP.NET, etc.). Deep expertise in SQL Server, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database design. Strong experience with AWS and related cloud services. Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub actions and TeamCity) and containerization using Docker Solid understanding of Git and modern version control workflows. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues across the stack. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for mentoring and team development. Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and improvement. Ideal Candidate You are a former or current software developer who has evolved into DevOps, with deep .NET and SQL Server expertise. You enjoy both building and deploying applications, thrive on solving challenging problems, and are comfortable working across development, database, and infrastructure domains. You are energized by mentoring others and driving best practices in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Working conditions Position requires less than 5% travel to annual Company meetings. Remote/Work from anywhere within the United States work environment
