Cloud Operations Engineer

Key Role: Manages, administers, supports, and enhances cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with Linux or Windows Server systems administration

3+ years of experience with customer or technical support

Experience with enterprise helpdesk ticketing systems

Experience with public cloud platforms or enterprise virtualization and Big-IP F5

Experience with writing automated provisioning scripts, including Ansible playbooks, Linux automation scripts, and Windows automation scripts using PowerShell

Knowledge of DoD networks and accreditation processes

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code

Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree

DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification

Additional Qualifications: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and managing cloud solutions

Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Manager

Experience with CI/CD tools, including JFrog Artifactory and Gitlab

Experience with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes

Experience with installing, configuring, and integrating custom solutions, including COTS, GOTS, and FOSS

Possession of excellent oral and written communication, and excellent customer service skills

TS/SCI clearance

Master's degree

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification or AWS Certified Developer, Associate Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
