A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Machine Setup Technician is responsible for preparing and configuring CNC machines for production, ensuring they are accurately and efficiently set up for specific tasks. This involves interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and configuring machine settings to meet precise specifications.

is looking for qualified candidates for Manufacturing Technician.

Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX.

Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Interpret Technical Documents

Preparing and selecting the correct tools, attachments, and materials for specific machine operations.

Machine Setup and Configuration

Setting up and adjusting the CNC machine's control system, including G-codes and M-codes, to ensure accurate machining.

Perform initial test runs to verify machine settings

Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues due to set up or operation

Calibrating and adjusting equipment for optimal performance

Safety and Housekeeping: Maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

Associate in related field or 3-5 years of Machine Shop experience in a production setting

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, machine tool operation, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of CNC programming (G-codes and M-codes) and their application.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machine-related issues.

Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the production team.

Proficiency in basic mathematics and geometry.

Performs preventative maintenance as required.

Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and other relevant computer applications.

Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.

Follows all plant policies and practices to ensure safety, quality, service, and cost objectives are met.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role

Bending, lifting, stooping, and standing greater than 50% of the time

Repetitive motion demands

Hands/wrist/shoulder.

Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds (over 50 pounds requires a team lift).
