Compensation: $28.00 per hour
Join our team as a CDL Driver! In this role, you will be responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of containers, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers while enhancing relationships and providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a commercial truck using a patented lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers at customer locations.
Conduct regular pre and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and lift equipment.
Manage add-on deliveries as needed to meet operational demands.
Utilize the company’s handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation purposes.
Safely operate a forklift and/or overhead crane when necessary.
Ensure containers are clean and presentable for customer delivery.
Coordinate rental paperwork and payment processing with customers effectively.
Communicate proactively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager about any customer needs or issues; provide necessary notes for clarity.
Assist with repairs of containers and lifts both in the field and at the storage center.
Support storage center functions as needed.
Maintain cleanliness within the truck cab to ensure a safe driving environment.
Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the team’s success.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role reports directly to management, typically the Market Manager or Territory Manager.
This position does not involve managing other employees or making hiring and pay-related decisions.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a valid CDL Class B License without air brake restrictions.
Maintain an active and valid driver’s license.
Meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
Must be at least 21 years of age to meet insurance requirements.
Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain a minimum of a one-year certification (DOT requirement).
Familiarity with electronic equipment and software is preferred.
Basic math skills necessary to perform job-related tasks.
Willingness to participate in our 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
