As a HIMS Coder, your key responsibilities will include: Accurately coding diagnoses and procedures based on ICD-10-CM and assigning impairment and CMS 13 group codes. Extracting information from medical records and entering data into PATCOM and UDS Proware, thereby creating a comprehensive and compliant database. Maintaining compliance with JCAHO standards and company policies while ensuring precise medical record abstraction. A graduate of an accredited Health Information Technology/Administration Program, completion of an AHIMA Independent Study Program, or advanced coding courses in ICD-10-CM and CPT4 from an accredited institution. Proficient in utilizing general office equipment and technology.
