Job Summary:
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for daily validation of sales commitments that fall outside system lead times. The role involves maintaining a balance between customer requirements and the company's ability to meet those requirements cost-effectively and profitably. The Master Scheduler will assist management by providing short- and long-term capacity and capability options, while ensuring profitability. Additionally, the role includes prioritizing and expediting work orders as needed and ensuring accurate job status reporting from system tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of products to customers.
Maintain ERP system settings to accurately reflect facility capabilities.
Review and approve all sales commitments outside of system-derived availability tools.
Review sales order releases concerning capacity planning and material requirements.
Monitor manufacturing schedules monthly, making adjustments for issues such as equipment failures or delayed resources.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing, planning, and cycle count teams regarding inventory accuracy or availability issues.
Use daily build schedules to meet monthly production and shipment goals.
Interface with multiple departments on material status and production planning issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field (preferred).
At least 5 years of Scheduling/Planning experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
Advanced knowledge of production control, planning, and inventory control systems.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MRP systems (Visual).
Excellent communication skills, proficient math skills, and analytical aptitude.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within matrix management structures.
APICS CPIM certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, including exposure to noise and varying environmental conditions.
