Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time CDL B Driver, responsible for the timely delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring safe and efficient operations while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: Safely drive and operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism for loading and unloading containers at customer locations. Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift, logging any necessary information. Be adaptable and willing to accept add-on deliveries to meet business requirements. Utilize company handheld computers for delivery verification and navigation purposes. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed. Maintain cleanliness and presentability of containers for customer delivery. Facilitate rental paperwork and payment coordination with customers. Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries and issues. Perform minor repairs on containers and lifts in the field and storage center. Assist with storage center operations when necessary. Keep your truck cab clean and debris-free, both inside and outside. May perform additional duties as assigned. Management Responsibilities: This position reports to Management. Typical direct supervisors include the Market Manager or Territory Manager. This role does not involve direct management of other employees. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL Class B License required, with no air brake restriction. Current and valid driver license is a must. Must comply with PODS Driver Qualification Standards. Must be at least 21 years of age to meet insurance requirements. Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or the ability to obtain at least one year of certification (DOT requirement). Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred. Basic math skills sufficient to perform job duties. Willingness to attend a required 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program. Additional Benefits:
