Summary: Is consulted for their expertise in the clinical or operational practice area and supervises a team and/or program in a pharmacy specialty area. Responsibilities include supervising activities of a clinical and/or operational team or program, coordinating team/program activities, developing and maintaining a training program, teaching students, residents, and new pharmacy staff, and providing clinical and operational pharmacist services to patients. Other requirements include creating and maintaining policies and procedures specific to the practice area, identifying and implementing clinical pathway and/or operational process improvement initiatives, developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, and supporting compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. Education Requirements: PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree. Licensure/Certification Requirements: Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment. Professional Experience Requirements: Two years of prior pharmacist experience or equivalent required.
