Join GEOAxIS as a Lead Technical Architect and be a pivotal member of our technical leadership team, driving innovation and modernization within our programs.
The GEOAxIS system is at the forefront of Identity, Credential and Access Management, providing seamless and secure online access to NGA GEOINT content based on user roles and attributes. Our mission is to deliver highly available ICAM services that protect crucial mission applications across various security domains, and with the ongoing GxNext contract awarded to Leidos in 2021, we are committed to ensuring resilient and scalable ICAM services through 2031.
Primary Responsibilities
Propose technical improvements and enhancements to the GEOAxIS architecture.
Contribute to strategic design initiatives that foster long-term technical innovation.
Engage with external stakeholders to meet mission-critical requirements.
Provide hands-on implementation support to development and operational teams.
Lead design efforts for the integration of new ICAM technologies and services.
Reduce technical debt through automation and by applying DevOps best practices.
Enhance GEOAxIS service availability and observability.
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree with 6+ years in Software Development, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
Active TS/SCI clearance with the capability to obtain a Polygraph.
At least 1 year of experience in DevOps.
Proficient in at least one programming language: Bash, Python, Java, or NodeJS.
Security+ certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
Exceptional communication skills to convey complex technical information to varied audiences.
A strong track record in leading technical teams and delivering solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Physical presence in Chantilly, VA is required a minimum of 4 days a week, with occasional meetings in Reston and/or Springfield, VA.

Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience with ICAM systems.
Experience designing and supporting RESTful or SOAP services.
Hands-on knowledge of container technologies and orchestration platforms like Rancher RKE2 and OpenShift.
Experience in containerizing legacy software systems.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible, ArgoCD, GitLab, Nexus3, and Kubernetes.
Relevant certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD.
A strong background in Linux system administration.
